Funded as a joint venture with UK Long Lease Property Limited Partnership, the student residence comprises of a main entrance block situated on Slateford Road, leading to a landscaped private courtyard and an L shaped accommodation block. The secure main entrance corner building was designed to complete the existing red sandstone tenement block. With accommodation over 4 floors, it houses the reception and office suite along with three generous self contained apartments to accommodate visiting lecturers.

The main student block has 214 rooms over five floors, with a mixture of cluster flats and studio accommodation, all with en-suite shower rooms and generous fitted kitchens. At ground floor level, a large entrance hall doubles as a communal lounge space. Focus has been given to high quality robust finishes and details, both internally and externally. An inclusive approach was taken, with accessible living accommodation interspersed throughout the development and lift access to all floors.

Careful consideration was taken to develop a specification alongside Edinburgh Napier University, including a detailed mock up of the typical student bedroom and en-suite. A 22 year lease was agreed with the university, who praised the development for delivering a bench mark standard for quality and finish in student accommodation.
