Set in sought-after Murrayfield, Torwood House is one of our most exciting new developments. Horne Terrace

Merchiston, Edinburgh.

Completed in November 2018, the AMA development at Horne Terrace provided a stylish addition to the thriving community growing along the banks of the Union Canal. This former industrial area is now being revitalised and has become one of the places to live in the city centre.

Caer Amon Detached Homes

Cramond, Edinburgh.

The 22 detached villas at Caer Amon set the tone for our most ambitious development to date in terms of its architectural vision, size and scope. This contemporary take on Scottish vernacular architecture, designed by Richard Murphy Architects, extended over 5 acres and won several national awards.

Caer Amon Townhouses

Cramond, Edinburgh.

The twelve townhouses take their inspiration from their grand Edinburgh New Town namesakes. The major public rooms are located on the first floor and feature tall picture windows and patio doors which open out onto the garden, which is laid out on top of the private double garage. These three-storey homes also feature rooftop terraces to make the most of the surrounding views.

Caer Amon Apartments

Cramond, Edinburgh

The 32 apartments are contained within two cruciform blocks and two lodge houses which are set out within a series of gardens and landscaped courtyards. There is an element of Macintosh in the Sto render and bay windows, but the layout was inspired by the quads of Scotland’s historic universities.

Caer Amon Crescents

Cramond, Edinburgh. EH4

Forming the entrance to the entire development, The Crescents is a collection of 16 homes, in two linked crescent terraces of 8 houses. The layout evokes the spirit of the Georgian crescents of Edinburgh’s New Town. The open plan living/dining/kitchen opens out onto the private gardens and there are interesting windows and light wells throughout the houses which flood light into the interiors. The crescent homes also benefit from a solar array on the roof, which helps keep heating bills to a minimum.

Shandon Garden

Slateford Road, Edinburgh.

This development saw the transformation of an odd shaped disused industrial site into a highly successful mixed-use development, set within a scheme of existing 19th century ‘colony’ terraces. Consisting of 21 apartments and 13 duplexes spread over three buildings, the development also integrated a separate block of student accommodation.

3 & 4 McEwan Square

Fountainbridge, Edinburgh. EH3

3 & 4 McEwan Square, two neighbouring blocks offering 25 one two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses, represents the final phase of AMA’s involvement at Springside.

Marchmont School

Marchmont Road, Edinburgh.

This landmark building in the heart of one of Edinburgh’s most vibrant south-side suburbs, was tastefully converted to form 16 contemporary, one, two and three bedroom apartments and a large commercial unit.

Inglis Point and Jex-Blake House

Springside, Fountainbridge, Edinburgh.

Inglis Point and Jex-Blake House were the first two residential buildings at Springside, a vast mixed-use development site on the eastern edge of the city centre. Built on the site of the former McEwan’s Brewery, the development includes a apartments, a hotel, student accommodation, shops, offices and public spaces.

Printhouse

Logie Green Road, Edinburgh.

The appropriately named Printhouse saw the conversion of the former print works of George Waterson & Son into 19 loft-style apartments. This much loved local landmark, an imposing red sandstone building, lies beside the Water of Leith in Canonmills.

St Vincent Place

New Town, Edinburgh.

Take a walk round the back of the south block and you’ll find a puzzle. It’s not that modern lines and south facing balconies seem so different from the traditional façade, it’s that there appears to be an extra floor. That’s because, much like the traditional first floor windows of New Town townhouses flooded light into the grandest rooms, the first floor windows of the north block façade bring light into the elegant double-height drawing rooms in six duplex apartments. There are a further 28 apartments and 4 superb penthouse, which have views across the New Town and over the Forth.

Muirhead & Hunter

Gilmerton Road, Newington. Edinburgh

Muirhead and Hunter, situated in Edinburgh’s Southside, required the reinstatement of two former school buildings into magnificent four-bedroom homes and two contemporary lodge houses.

Succoth Heights

Murrayfield, Edinburgh.

Completed to an exacting standard, this design affords lots of natural light, all the modern comforts of contemporary living including car parking and external space.

Greenhill Court

Bruntsfield Links, Edinburgh.

Few addresses on Edinburgh’s Southside are so well appointed to make the most of what the city has to offer than Greenhill Court. Created from the shell of a historic former hospital, it has an open outlook over Bruntsfield Links, a stones throw from the cafés, bars, restaurants and boutiques of Bruntsfield Place and a short walk to Lothian Road and Edinburgh’s theatre district.
