Caer Amon Townhouses Logo

The 12 townhouses at Caer Amon take their inspiration from their grand Edinburgh New Town namesakes. While the aesthetic may borrow from historical design details, its interpretation and implementation is strictly modern.

The major public rooms are located on the first floor and feature tall picture windows and patio doors, which open out onto the garden. These unique first floor gardens are laid out on top of the private double garages. The three-storey homes also feature rooftop terraces to make the most of the surrounding views. The white walls echo the whitewashed cottages at Cramond harbour but are coated in a hardwearing Sto polymer-based render, which has excellent colour retention. Add in the powder-coated aluminium window frames and milled aluminium gutters and downpipes, and there is a significant reduction in the need for ongoing exterior maintenance.

Caer Amon has been one of our most ambitious developments to date in terms of its architectural vision, size and scope. As well as apartments, the development includes detached villas, townhouses and crescent courtyard houses. This contemporary take on Scottish vernacular architecture, designed by Richard Murphy Architects, has won several national awards.
